My future's so bright...

I gotta wear shades!

Big Week!

Whew! Jude has had the biggest week ever! Tuesday, he started to crawl, Wednesday he cut one tooth (I thought it was two), and Thursday, he pulled himself up on the couch. That surprised me, Gage (whose book he was trying to get) and Jude.

We bought a new camera on Wednesday, ours had been dropped too many times. It's just wee, and takes really nice pictures. Video with sound, too. So, I have a better picture of my ring and some miscellaneous pictures of the boys. I'd have more pictures of Gage, but he prefers to be behind the camera, helping. And he doesn't stand still for very long to taken too many pictures of him.

Jude crawling and hamming for the camera.

Jude eating a plastice Sesame Street cookie. I swear he thinks that it's real.

Nate demonstrating why I bought a couple of bottles with straws in them.

"Yeeeessssss?"

Eight Months!!!

The twins turned eight months old last Wednesday! Has it really been that long? Jude started crawling today, and Nate isn't far behind. Poor Gage, he thought it was really cool until Jude started heading for his toys. Then he didn't like it so much. But, they did crawl around a bit together today after supper, and had a great time. Nate is trying hard to crawl, I think he feels left behind a bit.

My Christmas present from James, the family ring. It's hard to see the stones, but the twins are on the outside, Gage is in the centre and James and I are in the middle.

Jude "I Can Sleep Anywhere" Paul

We went to a playgroup today, and it really messed up nap time for the boys. Gage didn't sleep at all, and Nate had a quick nap in the high chair. Jude fell asleep while spinning in his saucer. This is priceless.

Extras

Gage loves to play with his trucks. James calls the game "parking lot" because none of the trucks ever really move. He just lines them up and then talks to them. He will ask us to play with him and give us a truck, but we're not allowed to do anything to it, just put it back where it was before. Sometimes I can get away with making a few sounds for the moving van, but that's about it.

Nate thinking "I'm full, Mom. I'm not eating any more. You suck."

Can he pout, or what!

Jude thinking "GET IT OFF MY TONGUE!!!!! GET IT OFF MY TONGUE!!!!! GET IT OFF MY TONGUE!!!!!"

By the way, this is how he reacts to almost all of the solid food you put in his mouth, right before he wolfs down a whole bowl.

Edmonton Motorcycle Show

We took the boys to the Edmonton Motorcycle Show on Saturday, because my friend Clayton was going to be there signing autographs with the Roadhammers. Clayton introduced us to the band before the signing and we didn't even have to line up for an autograph. It was really cool, our little brush with fame. It's nice having friends in high places.

Gage got to sit on some of the vehicles.

He really liked the bike trailer. The ramp was the coolest part.

Clayton on his bike.

It was a very long afternoon for Gage. He fell asleep in the stroller and when James put on his coat, he was still asleep. Standing up, leaning on James.

Swinging Dreams

Jude powered out in his swing this afternoon, before he even had a chance to sit back and get comfortable.

Finally, a picture of Gage where he isn't smiling like a goof ball.

I bought a Carpet Flick to help keep the living room free of crumbs. Gage thinks it's the greatest toy since the broom.

Ukrainian Christmas

We did Ukrainian Christmas at our house yesterday. I was not ambitious enough to do all the dishes (or even one of the dishes), maybe next year. We did have a lot of food though.

Gage was really thirsty. He's hanging out with Auntie Amber and Nate is on Auntie Barb's lap. Sometimes it's weird to have so many twins in the house!

Grandpa gave Gage his hat to wear, and Gage loved it! He wouldn't stand still for me to take a picture, but I did get one of him beating a hasty retreat!

Crib Play

James and I put Nate and Jude in one crib the other night and turned on the mobile for them. I couldn't catch them both playing with it, but James said it blew their minds! They did think it was awfully cool though.

Dirty and Clean

The boys have started eating cottage cheese (put through the blender with some formula and then mixed with vegetables) before bed. They are so messy! Nate likes to eat and Jude likes to get dirty!

Gage eating his snack before bed. I really have to teach him how to smile better.

They do clean up nice though. It's amazing what a bath with do for a kid.

The Boys

Just some cute pictures of the boys.

Jude Proves the Impossible

Just in case you've ever wondered (and I know that you all have), Jude has proved that it is possible to spit up on your own head. Nate was with me, so I know that it was Jude.
