Small Talk

James said something clicked on in Gage's head this weekend, and he gets it. He now repeats just about anything we say, so we have to be careful. This morning James said he was going to work and Gage said "To the work". He also said cereal, Nate and Juuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude. He seems to think both boys are named Jude, I think he'll get that straightened out eventually. Nate IS kind of hard to say. Now that he's talking a lot more, I'm sure that I'll be telling him to be quiet someday, but right now it's kind of nice to have conversation.

Smile!

Everybody's happy that it's not so hot anymore, me included! The babies are smiling a lot now, but Jude is much more generous with his. Nate makes you work for it. And of course, Gage loves to smile and show off his new teeth! He's gotten two new eye teeth in the last week. At least he's good natured!

Yipee!

This sounds so corny, but Gage actually called me Mom today! I'm so excited. He's been saying Dad forever, but only says Mama when he's really crabby with me (like when I won't get him up fast enough). But today, I came in from outside, and he said Mom and smiled at me. He's been saying it a lot since then. I give James the credit, he's been working on it for me.

Ahhh, my child finally realizes that I have a name.

I've got three seconds...

...quite literally. Maybe this whole blog thing wasn't such a good idea after all. Apparently you actually need time to post in order for this to work well.

New pix of the boys. Gage is 18 months, Nate and Jude are 2 months. Hard to believe, the time has gone by so fast. I know I'm going to say that every month. And yes, Jude's eyes really are that big, he's not surprised or anything. He's like a cartoon character sometimes, and when he is surprised, the rest of his face disappears. (I'm such a mean mama. His eyes are just beautiful, and very expressive.)

I'm going to try to update once a week, but if I'm busier than normal, or nothing exciting happens, then it will be less often.

Oh My God! I can't believe it!

Well, I'm a sucker and finally decided to see what this blog thing is all about. Hopefully it will keep everyone updated on the boys, as I'm really bad at writing letters and emails. And wouldn't you know it, but as soon as I start to type this, Nate has decided to wake and and be crabby. So has Gage. Damn.
